Joseph Pollock Coats, Jr., 84 of Demopolis, AL went to his eternal home on February 14, 2021. He was born on December 5, 1936 in Jefferson, AL to Joseph Pollock Coats, Sr. and Mildred Rhodes Coats. He was a machinist at Gulf States.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Coats; his sons Chris Coats (Beth) and Greg Coats; and his sister Patsy C. Moore. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Robby Coats, Alex Coats, Katie Coats and Kristi Stinson as well as 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Jefferson Baptist Church followed by a graveside service at the Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson, AL with Rev. Jake Duke officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be: George Norris, Rusty Coats, Tommy Coats, Wayne Baker, Richard Boone, and Van Brown.
