Burnis Clair "Bunny" Barton, 90 of Marion, AL went to his eternal home on April 25, 2021. He was born on October 3, 1930 in Perry County, AL to Otha James Barton and Helen Morris Barton. He was a lifelong farmer and he owned Lakeland Farms.

He was predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Betty Jean Donavan Barton who was his high school sweetheart who sadly passed away in 1971. He is survived by his wife, Sherry L. Barton and his sons: James Donavan Barton (Amelia), Burnis Dudley Barton (Karen), Wallace Carleton Barton (Heather), Franklin Eugene Barton (Alice), Kenneth Leverett Barton (Allison), and Thomas Alexander Barton (Laci). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at Marion United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be at 2:00 with Rev Len Hurston officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing. Graveside services will follow at Marion cemetery. Pallbearers will be: James Donavan Barton, Burnis Dudley Barton, Wallace Carlton Barton, Franklin Eugene Barton, Kenneth Leverett Barton, and Thomas Alexander Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be: Roy Barnett, Tom Oswald, Ray Duncan, Carl Cooper, Tommy Jones, Jimmy Ryan, James Essex, Jim Brady, Henry Tabb, and Jim Broussard as well as all the former employees of Lakeland Farms and his caretakers: Andre Tubbs, Marian Boykin, Eddie Benjamin, and Linda Moore.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Marion United Methodist Church.
