Obituary for Barbara Parten (Bobbitt)
Barbara Parten, 92, of Demopolis, AL went to her eternal home on August 26, 2021. She was born on December 13, 1928 in Virginia to Grady Lee Bobbitt and Geraldine Cundiff Waldal Bobbitt.
She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arthur Frank Parten; her daughter Linda Parten Cork; and her son Jim Parten. She is survived by her son, David Parten of Birmingham, AL; her sisters: Faye Taylor of Virginia and Nancy Burnett of Washington; her brother, Reginald Bobbitt of Virginia; and her Granddaughter Donna Bingen of Morrisville, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery in Demopolis with Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Demopolis or SALT of Demopolis.
