Esther Sue Richmond McCarter, 84 of Forkland, AL went to her eternal home on November 7, 2021. She was born on March 28, 1937 in Birmingham, AL to William Judson Townsend and Susan Richmond. She worked for the United States Postal Service.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Elvis McCarter; her son Charles Elvis McCarter,Jr.; and her grandson Daniel McCarter. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Perkins (Mike); and her six grandchildren: Heidi Alexander, Shanna Gorman (Jeff), Chris McCarter (Ashley), Reid Short, Rhett Short, and Hilly McCarter. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Demopolis Memorial Gardens in Demopolis, AL on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:00 am with Robert Tult officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be: Chris McCarter, Reid Short, Rhett Short, and Louie Jines.
