Obituary for Corrine Briggs Stone
Corrine Briggs Stone, 76 of Forkland, AL went to her eternal home on December 20, 2021. She was born on July 31, 1945 in Mississippi to Leo Edward Briggs and Maggie Lee Whitehead Briggs. She was a loving wife and mother and worked as a seamstress at Lucky Star.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Stone; and her brother, Billy Briggs. She is survived by her daughters Margie Stone Barton of Forkland, Marsha Jane Stone Coley (Scott) of Forkland, and Judy Ann Box (Carlos) of Aliceville, AL; her sons: James William Stone (Alice) of Guntown, MS, Gene Edward Stone (Donna) of Guntown, MS, and Robert Earl Stone (Cindy) of Forkland; her sisters: Carolyn Briggs of Baldwin, MS, Evelyn Nunnely of Belden, MS, and Lily Lee Watson of Baldwin, MS; and her brothers: Jerry Briggs of New Albany, MS, and Leland Eugene Briggs of Baldwin, MS. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Phillips Cemetery in Forkland, AL with Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be: Jesse James Box, Quincy Brenner Stone, Clyde Hill, Jr., James Michael Caples, Dakota Gene Stone, Kenneth Quitman Stone, and Cameron Nicholas Rush.
