Obituary for Lucile Wigger Bamberg

Lucile Wigger Bamberg of Marion, AL passed through this life on March 9, 2022. She was 93 years old. She was born in her family home on January 29, 1929, in Greensboro, AL. Raised during the depression and later through WW II, like many of her peers, she knew of hardship, suffering and pain. Lucile was a strong believer in education and she attended Greensboro Public Schools where she graduated in 1947. She later attended Alverson-Draughon Business College in Birmingham, AL. She was employed in the garment industry for many years before retiring at age 69.

The most important event in her life was when she surrendered her life to Christ and was baptized as a young adult in her 20's and served her Lord faithfully for nearly 70 years until her death. She held many positions in her church including Sunday School teacher, Treasurer and Representative. She loved others and was loved by so many. Lucile was honest and humble, always ready to lend a helping hand.
