Obituary for Robert Vester Nichols Sr.
Robert Vester Nichols, Sr., 96 of Marion, AL went to his eternal home on June 18, 2022. He was born on November 24,1925 in Sprott, AL to Vester Lee Nichols and Mamie Stone Nichols. He was a veteran and a retired fireman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Margaret Wallace Nichols; and his son, Bobby Lee Nichols. He is survived by his sons: James Clifton Nichols (Ruth), and Robert Vester Nichols, Jr. (Beth); and his daughter-in-law, Jane Nichols. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Preston Lee Nichols (Wendy), Andrea Nichols Gilley (Darren), Lindsey Nichols Bushey (Mike), Bert Nichols, and Jay Nichols; and four great-grandchildren: Mary Margaret Nichols, Camille Nichols, Caitlyn Gilley, and William Lee Bushey.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10:00 am at Pine Crest Memorial Cemetery in Marion with Rev. John Nicholson officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Siloam Baptist Church, Marion, AL in his memory.
