Obituary for Alma Nell Sheppard (Sirmans)
Alma Nell Sheppard, 93 of Demopolis, AL went to her eternal home on August 28, 2022. She was born on February 3, 1929 in Fordsville, KY to Scranton and Sybil Magill Sirmans.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Spencer Sheppard; her sister, Thelma Auman and her brother, Sonny Sirmans. She is survived by her daughter Holley Sheppard LaGrone (Karl) of Birmingham, AL; her son, Kevin Spencer Sheppard (Carmen) of Winchester, VA; her grandchildren: Cameron Spencer Sheppard (Kaitlin) of Centreville, VA; Collin McKee Sheppard of Salt Lake City, UT; Courtney Meredith Sheppard of Fredricksburg, VA; and great-grandson Clark Spencer Sheppard of Centreville, VA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Demopolis, AL. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, also in the church with Rev. Carl Williams officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing. Graveside service will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Cameron Sheppard, Collin Sheppard, Heath LaGrone, Kelly Etheridge, Tommy Pearson, Fred Hansard, Al Giles, and Steve Richardson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Demopolis.
