Obituary for Shelby Jeanette Summerford (Hill)
Shelby Jeanette Summerford, 85 of Demopolis, AL went to her eternal home on September 28, 2022. She was born on May 2, 1937 in Georgia to Betty Holley and Winston Ivey Hill. She was an office clerk for Demopolis Grain Elevator Co.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh Summerford; her sister, Martha Ann Hill; and her brothers: Jerome Hill and Earl Hill. She is survived by her daughters: Julie Davenport (George) of Demopolis and Pamela Brame of Moblie, AL; her son, Doug Summerford (Twyla) of Bruce, MS; her sisters Barbara Simmons of Montgomery, AL and Gerry Hurt of Providence, AL; and her brothers: Jimmy Hill of Demopolis, Gerald Hill of Montgomery, and Burl Hill of Hueytown, AL. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Natalie Beardon (John), Matthew Davenport, Blake Brame and Brooks Brame.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Kirk Funeral Homes Chapel in Demopolis. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm at the chapel with Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing.
