Obituary for Mildred Jean Jones (Green)
Mildred Jean Jones, 91 of Demopolis, AL went to her eternal home on October 9, 2022. She was born on October 30, 1930 in Alabama to Mary Green King and Ivey Green. She was a loving mother and housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard L. Jones; her son Richard Jones; her brother Edward Green; and her sister Aubrey Robeson. She is survived by her daughters: Paula Oates and Karla James (Tim); her sons: Michael Jones (Gail), Dwayne Jones (Tracey), and Britt Jones (Tina); and her sister Elaine Rogers. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Dana Jones Tyas (CJ), Wade Jones, Gary Taylor, Jr., Randy M. Taylor, Rob White (Jessica), Randal White (Bridget), Katherine Ashcroft (Clayton), Jordan Jones, Chris Jones, Ashley Jones, and Heather Jones; and nine great-grandchildren: Peyton Rose, Maddie Rose, Cy Rose, Hobbs Rose, Abigail White, Roman White, Maverick White, Cooper White, and Evie White.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Kirk Funeral Homes Chapel in Demopolis. A graveside service will follow at the Demopolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2:30 pm with Rev. Randall Smith officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be: Rob White, Randall White, Wade Jones, Cy Rose, Tim James, Roman White.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Bargain Box of Demopolis, 301 West Washington Street, Demopolis, AL 36732
