James Larry Tubbs, 64 of Marion, AL went to his eternal home on October 15, 2022. He was born on September 16, 1958 in Perry County, AL to Vernon Tubbs and Avis Tucker Tubbs. He was the manager of Harrison Hardware in Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Jadie Tubbs and Denson Tubbs and his sister Judy Colburn. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Averette Tubbs; his sons Joshua Tubbs (Lynn) and Jacob Tubbs (Cassie); his daughters Jenny Bright (Nate) and Lindsay Langs (Eric); his sisters: Kitty Breland (Doug), Shirley Doss, Mary Hobson, Christine Miles, Angie Holifield (Mike), and Polly Aultman (Roy); and his brothers Gary Tubbs and Charles Tubbs (Sheila). He is also survived by six grandchildren: Kalob Tubbs, Seth Tubbs, Lucas Tubbs, Nolan Bright, Sophie Bright, and Gracie Bright.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery in Perry County, AL with Charles Spence officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Greensboro Chapel directing.

Pallbearers will be: Joshua Tubbs, Jacob Tubbs, Nate Bright, Eric Langs, Donald Averette, Stanley Averette, and Gary Tubbs.
