George Robert Anderson, 83 of Demopolis, AL went to his eternal home on November 12, 2022. He was born on March 18, 1939 in Perth, Scotland to George Robert Anderson and Bridget Flannagan Anderson. He was a veteran and retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary O'gurek (Gerhard); and his brother, Michael Anderson (Eileen). He is survived by his wife, Dalene Buck Anderson; his daughter, Bridget Anderson Cain (Clay); and his son, Randal S. Anderson (Rhonda). He is also survived by five grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Demopolis. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm also in the church. A graveside service will follow at the Demopolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Carl Williams and Rev. Larry Wimberly officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing.

Pallbearers will be: Larissa Anderson, Carmen Anderson, James Randal Cain, Conner Cain, Malin Cain, Brian Buck, Joshua Buck, and Matthew Dollar. Honorary pallbearers are: James A. Buck, Herman E. Buck, Hugh Lloyd Sunday School Class, Mark Dollar, and Kelly Etheridge.

In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to Wounded Warriors.
