Obituary for Sue Ellen "Peggy" Massengale (Robertson)
Sue Ellen "Peggy" Robertson Massengale, 92 of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023. She was born on February 18, 1931 in Tuscaloosa, AL to Walter Brady Robertson and Ruth Wolley Robertson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles N. Massengale; her sister, Barbara Robertson Drury, and her brother-in-law, Wallace Foote Drury. She is survived by her sisters: Mary Robertson Johnson (Jon Allen) of Gardendale, AL, and Patricia Robertson Higdon of Tuscaloosa; her nieces and nephews: Dena Drury Prince (Robert) of Tuscaloosa, Clint Robertson Crawford and Andrea Juilet Crawford, both of Tuscaloosa, Wallace Foote Drury, Jr. (Anne Burt), and Charles Brady Drury (Barbara) both of Greensboro, AL, and Sarah Crawford Miller (Mike) of Hayden, AL. She is also survived by a host of Great and Great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Greensboro. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Greensboro with Chaplin Dave Bolin officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Greensboro Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be: Clint Robertson Crawford, Wallace Foote Drury, Jr., Charles Brady Drury, Robert Prince, Mike Miller, Charles Brady Drury, Jr., Wallace Foote Drury III, Shane Crawford, Spencer Miller, and Amos Hill. Honorary Pallbearer is Randall Curb.
Because of their many years of faithful and caring service, the family would like to recognize Carolyn House, Elaine Fife, Joan Osburn, Sandra Hodo, and Carla Woods.
