William Edwin Trest 75, of Demopolis, passed away April 15, 2017, at Druid City Hospital. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday April 17, 2017, from First Baptist Church in Demopolis with Rev. Carl Williams and Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

Mr. Trest was born November 24, 1941, in Meridian, Ms., to William James and Mary Ida Lene Harrison Trest.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jones Trest; son, Mark Edwin Trest; grandson, Mathew Edwin Trest; sister in laws, Ann Dean of Marrero, La. and Lydia Pearson of Greenville, Ms.; brother in laws, Harold Jones and Bill Jones both of Meridian, Ms., Francis Jones of of Terrell, Tx. and Ronnie Jones of Terry, Ms.

Pallbearers will be Russell Copeland, Jimmy Copeland, Allen Bishop, Mike Randall, Terry Brown, George Edward Ballard, Tom Raybon and Jim Pruitt.

Honorary pallbearers are David Rivers, Jimmy Spencer, Milton Cherry, Roy Copeland, John Haynes, Demopolis High School Class of 1959 and First Baptist Church Joy Group.
