She was preceded in death by her loved ones, parents, John P. and Lillian Ethel; stepmother, Mary Dickie Richards; brothers and sisters, Marge C. Pawson, Bill Richards, Eylpha Capps, Dixie Bell Richards, Dorothy Stephens and Dickie Richards.

Survivors include her sisters, Stella Stephens and Ethel Livingston from Eutaw, Ala. and countless nieces, nephews and great-nieces that all loved her very much.

Georgia worked hard her whole life. During World War II she was a “Rosie the Riveter” on the USS Alabama as a mirror welder. The only certified female mirror welder in the state of Alabama.

She worked at Vanity Fair for 35+ years, starting the first 401K for the workers. She enjoyed farm work and fishing with her family. Georgia was all about family.

The family would like to give special thanks to Greene County Nursing Home, Southern Care, Hospice of Demopolis and the special friends and family that came to visit her daily.

Pallbearers will be Joe Stephens, Mike Capps, Cody Stephens, Johnathan Stephens, Kenny Turner and Gary McGalliard.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Eutaw Baptist Church – Handicap Ramp Fund, 225 Main St. Eutaw, AL 35462.
